Wow, Joe, the Skaven army is coming along really nicely. You have a very strong, unified color scheme that is well executed and gives off a clean, crisp look. I admire your determination on chugging through all of those models. How long has the army been in the making? Also, any plans in the works for a display board?

Thanks a lot.
I've owned the army, or at least a chunk of it since IoB came out. I didn't start hustling on it in hernest until October. Some friends and I have been doing a Tale of Four Gamers article over on my blog at www.waaaghcast.net. We've been putting in 500 points a month and January was our 2,000 point month. Next month will complete the 2,500 point armies and then in March we'll be working on display boards.

Not that its my Skaven but I also took a full shot of my Dwarfs tonight too.

In preparation for the purchase of my last model for the 2,500 points I've been working towards (a Plague Furnace) I finally painted my Plague Priest model I've had sitting since I bought him when he came out way back by IoB.

I've gotten a better picture of that Plague Priest character and a picture of my Plague Furnace that I finally finished.

I really like how the warpstone in the hilt of the sword came out - great job overall!

Hey! Overall I think its a really solid job and I am HORRIBLY jealous you could get through painting that many skaven. 500 points a month is pretty tough but even more so when your average model is 4 points! I particularly like the Rat Ogre unit filler. The skin tone is absolutely great and the model tells a great story.

I don't know if you are planning anything like this but I had the thought that your bases (which I love, stone tiles are a great idea) could use some "skaven litter." Whether theyre bones, skulls, broken weapons, or just trash, I think it would really be a characterful final touch on a very well done project.

I'm not sure if I'll be adding anything to it or not. At the moment I don't have anything planned.
